Test Results

This form is for results of Blood Tests/ Scans or Procedures ordered by your GP only.

The results of tests that were requested by a hospital doctor/consultant will be sent directly to the doctor who requested them, and they will then communicate the results to you.

If you have had tests done that were requested by your hospital doctor/consultant and you have not received any results then please contact the consultants secretary directly.

Your GP can only report on results of tests that they have requested or performed for you.

Your GP will normally text you with summary of your results [eg "Results Satisfactory"] once they are available.

An approximate timeframe for results to be received at the surgery is as follows:

Blood Tests – Up to 7 days

Scan Results – Up to 14 days

Procedure Results – Up to 28 days

PLEASE NOTE: Some specialised results may take longer. The above estimates are for routine results. Please do not contact the practice to request results before the estimated timeframe.
